To be able to convert a loft, the minimum height must be 2.1 metres; if the height is lower, it is possible to lower the floor and ceilings below to create the minimum height.

This is very important, as conveyancers will ask for certification for any changes to your home should you sell it, whether a loft or a garage conversion.
