New Build Eco-House

A-Spencer Construction was selected to build this wonderful New Build home in Northamptonshire. The spacious 4 bedroom house is half-Eco and half-Passive. This means the first floor doesn’t have any heating but is insulated and built to the highest degree. It is highly energy-efficient which lowers the building’s ecological footprint. These buildings require very little energy to heat, so the natural heat rising from the ground floor is enough to heat the second floor (as no heat escapes).

The house not only boasts high-tech insulation, but also triple glazing. The ground floor ceilings are unusually high, and the feature hallway creates wonderful space and light. A technically advanced air source heat pump powers the underfloor heating and although the first floor doesn’t have heating, we have installed heated towel rails to dry items after a hot bath or shower.
