We’re excited to share a look at A-Spencer Construction’s latest project—a new home build in Holcot, Northamptonshire. Adrian Spencer has project-managed the entire build from start to finish, working closely with the architect to create a unique and spacious home on a compact village plot.
The build is well underway, blending modern style with traditional country charm. We recently worked on a 200-year-old house just across the road, and Adrian was inspired to create this new property in a similar style. One of the standout features is the use of large, pegged oak A-frames, adding a classic touch to a modern build.
To make the most of the size of this plot, Adrian designed an “upside-down” layout, placing two bedrooms on the ground floor. Each bedroom includes spacious built-in shaker-style wardrobes and luxury bathrooms. Upstairs, a bright, open-plan space with double-height ceilings and a mezzanine showcases the oak A-frames, giving the room a warm and welcoming feel.
Finishing touches, including the herringbone-patterned oak flooring and a bespoke kitchen, are now coming together. Keep an eye out for more updates as the worktops are fitted and the electricity is connected this week!
